Boligselskabet Sjælland is Denmark’s fourth-largest housing association with over 12,500 homes in Zealand. It was created in 2007 as a merger between a number of Zealand housing associations with roots dating back to 1899. The housing association is still growing, and in the coming years will invest up to DKK 3 billion in new homes and renovation of existing stock. This is very much needed – 13,000 people are currently on the waiting list for a home with them.
