Reflecting on two great days at the EFL conference in Belfast, we extend our sincere gratitude to our wonderful host, Radius Housing, whose unwavering support made this event possible for over 80 participants deriving from approximately 8 different countries. Special thanks to John Mclean and Eleanor Morrow for all their support to make this such a success. Find HERE the summary of the Conference.
The warm reception at the Ten Square Hotel in Belfast set the tone for a memorable experience, followed by a well-orchestrated Thursday conference day expertly moderated by David Orr and Anita Blessing. Notable speakers, including Sofie Pelsmakers on senior living and housing, Marcel Staub of Lookthrough discussing AI, and Diana Fitzsimons sharing insights on the urban development of Belfast, enriched our discussions.
Thursday afternoon was dedicated to an insightful site visit to the regeneration area of the Titanic Quarter and the residential neighborhoods of Belfast. We were captivated by remarkable stories that shed light on Belfast’s complex history. A delightful lunch at the exquisite Townhall, hosted by Lord Mayor Ryan Murphy, and a subsequent dinner at Queen’s University, provided the perfect backdrop for continued networking and discussions, making this conference truly exceptional.
Friday brought forth the insightful voices of our EFL topic group leaders, including the perspectives of Dr. Oliver Falk-Becker Becker, Hendrik Cornehl, Fabien Lasserre, Thorsten Schulte, John Stevens, and the virtual presence of Tommaso Scalzi. Their contributions enriched the conference with diverse insights and expertise. Noteworthy moments included Tijn Croon ‘s discussion on Energy Poverty and a compelling, high-level speech by Kevin McSorley, Head of Radius Connect 24, adding depth to our discussions.
As we bid farewell to this enriching event, our anticipation
grows for the upcoming conference in Turin and Milan on May 15-17, 2024. We invite you to explore the invitation link provided here and look forward to welcoming you to yet another engaging gathering.EFL Video 2023 (vimeo.com)
