Objectives:
- Develop Integrated Design Solutions for Affordable Living.
Results:
- Integrated Design Solutions (architectural, engineering, urban planning, social policy) from students of European Universities (teams of students) for a new development in the City of Helsinki (Kalatasama).
- Solutions will address the challenges of affordable housing providers as well as the City of Helsinki (competition brief), including using smart, co-living, and sharing economy solutions to deliver affordability. Main elements include: climate resilience, affordable living (rent, services, shared facilities), and smart building and neighbourhood planning.
