In a recent article in the UK magazine Housing Finance International, EFL Expertise Director Ad Hereijgers describes the increased possibilities for financing the housing challenges in European capitals. The role of the EIB (European Investment Bank)  and Junkers program EFSI is set against a background of a wider supply of funding and finance opportunities. Nevertheless the author concludes that a stronger alignment of public and private funding resources with the cities needs of affordable housing is  a necessary  condition to be successful in tackling Europe’s most urgent issues as adressed in EU’s Urban Agenda.
