Two new EFL members from Scotland and Netherlands
The largest Scottish housing association, the Wheatley Group (46.000 dwellings) joins EFL. As the financial director writes, “we have followed with interest the development and growth of EFL in recent times, and consider its mission and objectives to be strongly in line with our own areas of interest. In particular, we wish to strengthen our connections with colleagues in housing associations in other European countries, sharing our experiences and learning from those of others”.
The new Dutch member is housing association ‘Van Alckmaer’, situated in the town of Alkmaar. This town is not far from Amsterdam. ‘Van Alckmaer’ is specialist in monumental and listed buildings, bringing in new expertise within the EFL network. The organisation manages a portfolio of ca 2.500 houses and apartments.

As member or associate of EFL you get entrance to a unique network in the housing sector, offering opportunities for cooperation and doing business. Housing companies, both in the social housing and private sector can sign up as a member. Companies in the chain of value creation within the housing industry and development can apply for an asscoiated partnership. EFL is also open for scientific institutes and public organisations.
