Event Details
Systems thinking can be a powerful tool to understand complex problems, such as the housing crisis. When used in participatory settings, it can help articulate the interconnected challenges faced by different actors, including the impact of the interventions designed in response and the mental models and narratives that underpin them (e.g. what ‘sustainable’, ‘healthy’ or ‘affordable’ housing means).
In this seminar, Dr Anna Pagani will provide an overview of recent research engaging stakeholders in the English housing sector. Her presentation will show how, through workshops and interviews, systems thinking can help challenge received wisdom and foster dialogue on the issues, targets and interventions needed to provide housing for all within planetary boundaries.
