CHEMOVATOR/ TERAKTIS, BASF innovative startup in digital design and modular construction joins EFL
The Chemovator GmbH is the business incubator of BASF, available for all BASF-employees. Complementary to the existing innovation landscape of BASF, Chemovator offers a protected space to accelerate speed to market for new products, digital business models or comprehensive all-round solutions – significant is the reference to chemistry.
External startup expertise for internal Venture Teams
From early orientation phase to successfull commercialization all Venture Teams work with experienced entrepreneurs, who have built startups and new businesses from scratch. Their support ranks from coaching and mentoring to providing extended network opportunities.
Unconventional startup environment
The wholly-owned subsidiary of BASF New Business GmbH is located in Mannheim. Here Chemovator offers an unconventional startup environment for up to 12 Venture Teams with plenty of space for experimentation.
One of the projects within Chemovator is TERAKTIS: Integrated, software-supported construction process including BIM-like planning and a high degree of prefabrication based on concrete modules.

As member or associate of EFL you get entrance to a unique network in the housing sector, offering opportunities for cooperation and doing business. Housing companies, both in the social housing and private sector can sign up as a member. Companies in the chain of value creation within the housing industry and development can apply for an asscoiated partnership. EFL is also open for scientific institutes and public organisations.
