Finalists EFL/ARA Student Design Competition present great designs for sustainable housing

by | Nov 12, 2021

The winners are now known! During a digitally well-attended award ceremony on November 4, the four winners of our design competition were announced. This project, which started in early 2020, aimed to challenge students to create a building design for a site in the city of Helsinki. The concept had to meet sustainability requirements, climate resilience, affordability and fit within a concept of cooperative living. The actual development of this location is being undertaken by Village Co-Living, a developer. The future project will be taken into operation by LiM (Living in Metropolises), the first European housing cooperative. The moderation of the award ceremony was in the hands of Joakim Breitenstein (Village Co Living).
