On September 3, the first European Housing Cooperative LiM (Living in Metropolises), officially started with the laying of the foundation stone of the first new building project with 40 apartments in the Berlin Ewaldstrasse.

The property is located between BER Airport, the UNESCO World Heritage Gartenstadt-Falkenberg and the university site Adlershof in the Berlin-Treptow district.

A wood hybrid house heated with geothermal energy and equipped with a PV system will be realised. 35 residential units as well as 2 to 3 “cluster units” enable singles, families and communities to live together across generations. Meeting places in the house and in the external areas are also planned and are to promote communication. More information about Lim at https://lim-coop.eu/en.
