Masterclass: Best Practices of Affordable Housing in Urban Area Development
EFL Expertise, in cooperation with SITE Urban Development, is organizing a two-day masterclass entitled, Affordable Housing in Urban Area Development – Best Practices in Amsterdam, Berlin, and London. Join social housing companies Eigen Haard from Amsterdam, Gewobag from Berlin, and Poplar HARCA from London June 13-14, 2018 in Amsterdam to understand how the social housing sector is coping with the stark escalation in demand for affordable housing.
An exchange of knowledge and ideas will drive the presentations and discussions, hoping to encourage teaching and learning from professional peers. The masterclass will hope to answer:

- What are best practices from the perspective of social housing companies?
- What needs of social housing companies should become part of urban area development?
- What are the key drivers for social housing companies working on urban area development?
Join the first day of the masterclass to hear from three prominent social housing associations on their experience with the acceleration of new housing construction and development of mixed-use, family-friendly neighborhoods. Attendees will also converge for a boat ride along urban area developments in Amsterdam. The second day of the masterclass will be dedicated to exploring critical challenges surrounding urban development of affordable housing and brainstorming innovative solutions.
