Paris Habitat Datathon

Paris Habitat is helping to design the future of social housing. They are organizing a Paris Habitat Datathon to further innovation of digital technology around affordable housing. Using datasets from Paris Habitat, contestants will have two days to develop inventive ideas that tenants and employees can benefit from. The datasets will revolve around five themes:

  • Tenants
  • Apartments
  • Homes
  • Neighborhoods
  • Paris

Submissions may be in a variety of formats, including excel, APIs, text, reference documents, videos, images, etc. The datathon will take place  Monday and Tuesday, July 2-3, 2018

Anyone may participate – including you! Companies, start-ups, tenants, students, or associations. In order to maintain balanced teams with diverse backgrounds and complementary skills, Paris Habitat will select the candidates and teams. You may register HERE, and participation is free. If you are put on the waiting list, you will be among the first to be selected for future, Paris Habitat events. Registration will take place June 12-22, 2018. Announcement of participants will be made June 27, 2018. Participants may speak English, but an understanding of French is needed.

  • Morning : Plenary presentation & gathering of teams 
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon  : Plenary and creativity workshops 

Tuesday, July 3

  • Morning : Workshops & co-creations
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon : Pitch (15h), awards (17h), and end cocktails (18h)

Companies in the chain of value creation within the housing industry and development can apply for an asscoiated partnership. EFL is also open for scientific institutes and public organisations.
